Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s Student Alumni Association (QSAA) is made up of a diverse group of student leaders from all faculties that work to deliver a series of events and initiatives that enrich the student experience and student-alumni connection.
Mission
The QSAA is a student-run organization that prepares Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s students for success by connecting them to their futures as engaged Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s alumni. QSAA's events offer students opportunities to hear from, network, and connect with Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s alumni, providing students with outside-the-classroom professional and personal development.
History
Founded in 1986, STAR (The Ä¢¹½´«Ã½â€™s Student Team on Alumni Relations), was the first student-run organization that promoted student-alumni engagement at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½â€™s. In September of 2008, STAR was restructured as the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½â€™s Student Alumni Association (QSAA) to better transition students into members of the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Alumni Association (QUAA).
Working out of Summerhill, our volunteer student ambassadors work alongside the Department of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving and the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s University Alumni Association (QUAA) Board.
QSAA Volunteer of Distinction Award
The QSAA Volunteer of Distinction Award was introduced in 2009 to honour outstanding volunteers of the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s Student Alumni Association. Award recipients are honoured at the prestigious annual Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s University Alumni Association Alumni Awards Gala.
Congratulations to the QSAA Volunteer of Distinction 2024 Award recipient, Grace Zhang.
